Club Doncaster Sports College has announced an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated Sports Lecturer to join the established team at one of South Yorkshire’s fastest growing sports colleges.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the delivery and coordination of the college’s Level 2 and Level 3 sport study programmes, supporting learners both academically and personally while contributing to the continued growth and development of the college’s educational initiatives.
The role will involve planning, delivering and assessing lessons, mentoring learners, and working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure students achieve accredited outcomes. The Sports Lecturer will also help maintain the high standards expected by funding partners, internal and external verifiers, and OFSTED.
Key responsibilities include recruiting and registering learners, coordinating all aspects of programme delivery through to certification, developing schemes of work and lesson plans, monitoring student progress and targets, and providing regular learner feedback. The successful applicant will also support students with additional educational needs and emotional or behavioural difficulties.
In addition, the lecturer will be expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of qualification frameworks and assessment procedures, while building strong relationships with schools, colleges and parents to support the smooth delivery of programmes.
