We are delighted to announce that the family area at the Eco-Power Stadium will be renamed the Eric Randerson Family Stand in honour of one of Club Doncaster Foundation’s founding fathers.

The Family Stand section has long carried the name of the Foundation but, ahead of their annual Community Day against Blackpool this weekend, it will now honour Eric, who retired after almost four decades of service earlier this year.

Eric began working as a community coach at the club 37 years ago and played a pivotal role in shaping what would become the Foundation as it is today.

Foundation chief executive John Davis said: “Eric’s 37 years of dedication to this club embodied everything we stand for – community, family and lifelong support.

“It’s only fitting that the Family Stand will carry his name, ensuring his legacy lives on with every generation of fans who walk through our gates and onto our programmes.”

Eric’s tremendous contribution to the Foundation and Sports College will be recognised as part of this weekend’s Community Day, which will also feature a range of activities to showcase the charity organisation’s work across the city.
